Default Buildin a 16' mti mini cat -thoughts?

SORT OF LIKE THE MINI-CATS OF THE PAST BUT THE LOOKS OF A MTI
16' LOA
AROUND 13' RUNNING SURFACE
POWERED BY 25 HP OR BIGGER ON THE CENTER LINE
COCK-PIT FOR 2 ADULTS [TIGHT] OR KIDS
WOULD LOOK LIKE THIS DASICALLY

I HAVE ACCESS TO A LASER CUT FRAME LIKE THIS BUT 16'LOA
THINKING A ONE-OFF OR MAYBE A PLUG/MOLD IF PEOPLE HAD AN INTEREST

OPINIONS-GOOD OR BAD... LOL

2 yamaha SVHO motors with props and rudders would push it into triple digits I bet.

2 critiques from here; first and formost, for what this is going to cost, I would want more passenger room. 2 adults with comfort minimum, room for 4 in a pinch. We have jet skis that will do that. An old 16 foot tri-hull will probably cram 8. I would sacrfice the tapered cockpit for the extra room.
Secondly, why so complex on the framework? A small boat could get away with a much simpler and easy to build design. Foam could be employed in a big way here. Maybe take advantage of those deep sponsors and create a some nice foot / legroom.
On the positive side, I think it looks cool, but more than that, a small cat has some níce advantages over other small craft; they can offer a superior ride and be very stable at rest. On a smaller lake, a craft like this could actually be more than just a novelty.
I say go for it, but add a bit more utility. Good luck!

A mini mystic would be bad azz. Of course a mini mystic should probably be built by John Cosker....no offense.

Regarding mini cats, it's been done. Anarchy powerboats is the most recent to do it. They're novelties at best. Fun as hell but not practical. Like others have said, if you're building it for yourself, I say, "can't wait to see it!" If you're trying to do it for business, you may want to get away from using others rendering or mentioning other company names and then you might want to reconsider because the market is tiny and I don't really think there's much (if any) money in it.
