Uship.

Shipped many motorcycles with them (buyers set up UShip arrangements) Some really sketchy dudes out there running some pretty questionable vehicles but fortunately, no issues. Just check their feedback.

I've used them twice, but went to the Nth degree to check them out to ensure legit, legal, and insured.
1) 17' boat on trailer TX to VA.
2) Corvette (sent enclosed, single trailer) from IL to MD.
Minor issue with boat trailer, as shipper broke a light off trailer and would not accept responsibility.
Overall, happy. I'd use both shippers again, but would dependent on how much I valued what they are moving.
The guy who moved my Corvette was AWESOME.

Uship is basically a reverse auction for the transportation industry. Somebody bids then somebody else under cuts their price, and you end up with the lowest bid. Anybody with an authority (mc#) can participate. There is no requirement for previous experience with any particular freight commidity. I am not sure if they accept shippers with conditional or unsatisfactory status or poor saftey scores. Insurance requirements should also be considered, not all transportation carriers buy sufficient coverage or deductables.
Again i ask what are you shipping, what is the value and what are the points of origin and destination?
Remember, low bid gets your money.

I have shipped a dozen or so snowmobile with them. All have arrived in perfect condition. The only problem I have had is shippers cancelling the shipment after they win your bid. I have had that happen numerous times. You then have to relist and start over again. Just check your shippers feedback and it will tell you how many cancellations they have had. If the number is more than a couple, find someone else. Jeff Wurl
