It's in a barn in a rural area, right? Nothing a nice big umbrella policy and a couple Conibears (or better yet, Newhouse #5's) won't fix.... Careful though, junkies carry Hep C.
"Gee officer, I'm really sorry that fine citizen with the three drug convictions lost a foot while in my barn without my permission, I'm going to need to call my lawyer and insurance agent before we speak further."

Yes about 20 mins south right off of US23. I was think putting a battery powered siren too. Some home connect it to the ladder, so when they fold it down they'll pi$$ there pants.

He knows to keep coming back. The siren will just scare him (or her) and they will do some damage, and not return.
I'd go with the game camera. Set up a something sacrificial to lure them in. (Buy some broken crap on Craigslist.)
Then you can know what time they come by via the camera stamp.
Then repeat the process again, but this time you are hiding in the shadows with your 2nd Amendment.
