If you don't use it enough it will get rusty. Eventually one day it may not be usable. I highly recommend frequent usage to keep the rust off.

I always pile the white litium or amsoil blue marine on the top flat spot then set the coupler down on it, then it stays on top where mostly needed.

i lube mine up real good. also don't forget to remove your hitch when or if you run it through the car wash. they always wipe my balls clean when I forget.

Two boats. So I have two balls and one is bigger than the other. One is with a black chrome stick and the other has a large forged stick that carries a bigger load......

I don't grease mine, but it gets used so often it is never rusty. If I use grease I have to wipe it off beofre I hook up to something because of all the dirt and dust it attracts. I farm so there is a lot of dirt and dust.

Same here. About 2 maybe 3 times a year with a light coat depending if it drys out
