bcfountain 07-08-2015 11:49 AM

rak rua 07-08-2015 11:54 AM

Part it out.
You can have the front part or the back part.

mbobb 07-08-2015 11:59 AM

Wow, I feel like this looks worse than the 43 Donzi wave jumper crack......I wonder how big of a wave this one took to crack like that or if there was some internal rot in the stringers or something that helped cause this

mmb 07-08-2015 12:11 PM

Is this the boat that supposedly has a crack? Lets see better pictures. I grabed this off the OP's photo bucket.

holy hell

thisistank 07-08-2015 12:48 PM

Offshore cowboy as in joes old boat? Didn't even know that was in ca.

SkaterMike82 07-08-2015 01:17 PM

The only Cig that i know that was "Offshore Cowboy" was Joe's which i rode all the time. For that matter, i'm the one that names "Offshore Cowboy" because Joe is from TX. The pic with the crack on it does not seem to have the same graphics as Joe's but than again the angle and light can do that. Joe's boat was an 07 and it was number 39 of the 39TG. Joe sold the boat to a gentleman in Michigan. After that never heard of it agian. Here are some pics of it at my house in the Keys.http://i1344.photobucket.com/albums/...psfgrevuje.jpg http://i1344.photobucket.com/albums/...psurc1plpm.jpg

TxHawk 07-08-2015 01:25 PM

Looks like Stbd side just below "Gun".

TBAG 07-08-2015 01:37 PM

Ouch, that'll ruin your day real quick.

thisistank 07-08-2015 01:38 PM

I thought it looks like the deck at the bow and the pic is sideways.

Just text a buddy in Avalon to see if he's seen or heard anything. Very small town. Something like this would get around.

I can see that too. Tried to count stripes and color changes. Slow day at the office...

cowisl 07-08-2015 02:08 PM

Ill have my buddy go over. He is next door.

BAJA342 07-08-2015 02:11 PM

SkaterMike82,
Nice looking 25 Bertram you have there.

Joe 07-08-2015 02:22 PM

Bobby, Just got a phone call about this.... I didn't know he was the one that bought the boat from Brian (who bought it from me). I was wondering where it went. Seemed to be on OSO for only a few days when Brian posted it for sale.

Joe

This is not my old boat aka Offshore Cowboy. The OC has cig ovals in the blue.

I heard he was the one that jumped in the water, swam over, hooked a line to it, while it was upside down in the inlet drifting out to sea... Oh wait --- that was a fountain!!!! LOL

Mike --- FYI, my 39 was an '07. Don't put any more years on the ol' girl than she deserves. You are correct.... it was #39 hull.

Thank you,. These pics are from 07. That Bertram now resides in San Deigo and has gone through a total face lift and upgrade.

Joe 07-08-2015 02:35 PM

I know there was an '08 38 TG made with similar paint (and no cig ovals in the blue). I am not aware of another '39 with similar paint (not to say there isn't one).

Interested to hear what happened to whatever boat this is.

Hell, I'm not convinced it's even a boat.

Joe 07-08-2015 03:06 PM

Goof ball.... Beautiful Cig, but it looks NOTHING like OC! LOL.

You saw mine too many times not to know better, Mr. Cigarette Aficionado!

It is possible the new owner of OC had the paint touched up and removed the ovals etc...

Joe is not, "coming back around". LOL

Poker running etc... was fun for 15+ years. Still nose around here a bit, but as you know, I would not have known about this thread and tell SOMEONE texted me! Lol

Unfortunately, I have found that poker running, for me, is a single man's game. You either start single or finish single. :-)

Oh, and by the way, my liver thanks me too!!!!

Alright.... I've pulled a pic of my old boat, Offshore Cowboy. The lines don't line up, regardless if it was touched up and the cig ovals were removed and the grey line was smoothed. Check it out.......

Are you sure about that??.

If photoshopped, someone was bored enough to do it from many different angles....

I keep saying that it is NOT OC. The lines, paint, design etc do not line up unless the entire boat was re-painted which i see no reason why that would happen as the original looks great and not dated.

I hear what you are saying, if i'm a betting man my money would be on OC. Not to many Cig's running around Avalon. OC resides there on a lift on one of the lagoons I go down most weekends and he runs out of Towsends Inlet. Now that being said, the boat in question was pulled out of the water 100' away from where it is kept on a lift and has almost identical paint. Maybe the picture is off a bit since it is so close???

Is the owner not on Offshore Only? or anyone know him for the story? I do not, I'm not in the Cult :champs:, only have a Formula
