Bingo on BOTH the goods, man! Dave built my motors on my Fountain....I went to him largely because he did a ton of work for a bunch of the other Chicago guys. Definitely knows his stuff, and, yes, took his time to patiently deal with my lack of knowledge, lol. I've been happy to see pics of him out enjoying his toys this year...normally, he does nothing but work on motors...360 days per year (no lie!).

As for George at All-American, I bought a spare XR off him last year at the recommendation of teamsynergy here on OSO, and, although I haven't used it yet, he was more than fair on price and shipping. Planning on pulling both of my drives this fall and sending them off to him for a refresh.

Great story Chris. Sorry I asked how the drives were holding up when I saw you Friday. I was glad to hear you could brag up the guys from All-American who pulled through in the crunch!

Cool story. George is the man. He did me right and then some, when I had my drives rebuilt after my dumb a** hit something in the water. He went above and beyond taking the time to battle with my insurance company. A+++ for AADS.

Very true . Actual assembly time is focus time though . For me its like that time some people spend going over thier books . Or meeting with thier accountant . Or having dinner with the wife . Its not every day or all day , but i have to be paying uninteruppted attention to to eradicate mistakes and keep 100% engine no failure rate . And im getting old and forgetful . So yea , as a engine builder , not a salesman , still say kudos to that guy

Good post. The internet is a great way to get the word out on good service and products and to help keep the bad ones in check! He picked up the drive in his airplane? Seriously? lol That's awesome.

No problem, buddy! It was a pretty stressful week, but AADS pulled me through at the last moment. I would have been PISSED if I had to miss Boyne Thunder....
