OK but know I have to ask to further get a handle on this as it is possible you are throwing good money at good parts that do not need to be change as your problem could a simple connection or corrosion issue in the 5 V circuit .

With a engine of a serial # 1A that is a fairly current engine like a 2009 year model. So why is a 2009 engine per your words had many parts changed ? Are you in saltwater with your wake boat or has it sunk or leaked a lot of water in the engine compartment ? How many hours on this engine ? Has it been overheated and if so how bad ? any wiring or connectors melted ?

Is your mechanic a Marine Mechanic ? If yes, is he OEM Marine trained - I have to ask because you had to show him the pic as he did not know what a paddle wheel was? Just asking cause I think you are throwing good money away here. just saying your money and time here.

Thanks Bup
We are not in salt water. We changed some parts because we saw some wear on them and we had the available . about 1500 hours. it hasnt been overheated no wiring connectors melted. my mechanic is OEM marine trained. I had to show him because we are in Mexico and he speaks Spanish, I am not familiar with the terms in either Spanish or English, I told you I am learning...

One last question, it seems that there is a lot of wiring that is old and damaged. We would like to change all of the wiring. Is there some sort of wiring kit for this motor and if there is, any idea where I can buy it>?

Thanks
