Very sad indeed. We used to spend our summer vacation there and its a great place. When I heard the location this morning it took me awhile to place it but then it dawned on me it was Smith Mountain Lake.

Thoughts and prayers for all the families affected by this senseless tragedy.

If this isn't called a hate crime we are all doomed. This stuff has got to end. What little leadership exists in this country needs to get out in front of this and call it what it is and condemn this behavior. My heart goes out to those affected by the acts of violence and hate purported by this animal of a being.

Yes, that's exactly it.
Dark green awning in almost very center of picture is where shooting was, second level overlooking the mini-golf course (above boat docks, 12' above water) and band shell.

The condo building in the foreground is relatively new. That's a pad for another condo complex right on the point. The project went bankrupt, and the garage/pad is for sale for $3.25M.

Wow has it changed. I guess its actually been closer to 20 years now that I think about it. I have a picture on my desk of us in the water in front of the house we used to rent. We would take the kids to Bridgewater every evening for ice cream.
