They said it ran the same with the trips. 103mph in the florida heat just before the motor swap. There was some discussion about it should have run more like 115mph and I think it may have been close up north with cooler temps and less humidity. Point being it should run faster than the trips when its done I would think. Also if they get 110mph out of it down in Fla what will it run when it gets to a more friendly performance environment. Should be interesting. The SPEED article said it ran up on the rev limiters real hard with 32 Bravos so it may take a set of 36s when all is said and done. They also said it weighed in at 6500 pounds for testing. I messaged Grant and he confirmed the weight. Lotta boat. Looks like an awesome ride. Congrats to them.

I have heard boat ran again today and same results thus far. I personally think those guys know their stuff and the set up was pretty close to start with regarding engine hieght, toe etc. Props are the only variable.
Keep in mind 400hp only happens at 7000rpm. So run more pitch if on the limiters and go to far they wont have the HP to spin them either. Seems like it may be a tight window to get it right.
I agree with Steve big boat but 800hp should produce more. That is if it is 800hp???? Who knows???
Guess we will know more when Mercury works on Steve's Skater next week.

Grant is looking at the data he has complied via video cameras (Replay XD mini's) mounted at various angles to see whats going on behind the boat, in the tunnel, etc. any adjustments whether minor or major will be noted, being the first Skater with the set up. I can say the boat rides nice!

The performance tests arent a real test for the cameras, although they are mounted sometimes underwater which they work fine. but this is what they are capable of! Camera was mounted on aft step on Hughes 500 be sure to watch it in HD..
