Nice looking 27 and the guys at Advantage are great to deal with if you need anything. I have been to the factory a few times and they will drop whatever they are doing to show you their latest builds or anything else you might want to see. My next boat will most likely be an Advantage as well. I just like the way they do things.

LOL - this one is mine. Thanks for the free plug djkool!

formula1 - feel free to PM me with any questions about Advantage Boats whether you are interested in my boat or not. IMO one of the best things about the Advantage bow riders is the sliding cabin door. It gives you a lot of privacy for changing, potty or overnighting.

PS - your PM box is full so feel free to call me about these mid cabins. (Yes I have one for sale but have no intention of trying to solicit it to you.) Just happy to have a phone convo about my families [positive] experiences with this type of boat over the last 7 years I owned it. My name is Todd and my number is 612-462-3437. I'm in Mn and avail most anytime between 8 am and 10 pm CST.

Wow, thanks for the posts! Those boats are SWEET! I have been thinking about something with a blue motor in it, but then again, it'll be run in saltwater mostly. So, a 496 setup with factory FW cooling might be the best setup (correct me if I am wrong). With a 496 HO, are these +/- 70 MPH & RELIABLE boats? Driving normal (lol), how is the fuel consumption at cruise (rpm and mph, please)?

BTW, did they fix the older blue motor issues with the valve train or do you still have to consider an upper end rebuild around ~250 hours?

Oh, a couple more questions (don't hold me to it lol), how hard is it to get to the BR portion? How much head room is there when sitting or standing in the mid cabin? I'm 6'4". Not that I plan on spending much time there, but the wife, parents when they come to visit (they are older, of course) and kids might.

My 28's cabin is huge compared to the 28 Sunsation or the 28 Nordic. But mine is also a foot or 2 taller than those boats and they would both be a little faster than my Advantage with the same power.

The 525's have closed cooling as well. Would be a nice option for a single for sure.

And BTW, I used your Craigslist disclaimer on a recent ad, hope you don't mind.

To get to the cabin from the cockpit is really no different from about any similar boat, but to get in the cabin from the front, you basically have to crawl through.

I am 6'8'' and can crawl through the cabins of these to the front bow. Also if you beach the boat, getting in and out is a breeze. You can even find them with a bow wash on the front to wash your feet off before getting in.
