We have had a Police escort in and out. Its worth the few hundred dollars. As mentioned in earlier post, never hit a redlight, stop sign or traffic. We ran 75-80 all the way in and out. Lights and Sirens blazing. If anything, it was worth the money for the entertainment value. International CXT and a Sport Chassis riding the cops ass at 80 all the way in.

I know a guy that hauled an Ocean Express with a 6 cyl F150 (with airbags) at 90 mph, no trailer brakes, an escort riding shotgun in the front seat with the cops following the rig with their lights on!

Trailered a 47 outerlimits Gtx down early 2000's, they got us on an overlength issue. The ticket was " how much you got" type thing.

Love these stories.

If you do it "by the books" with permits and daylight it costs alot and takes alot of time. Approx. how much, per state, for police escort? I am sure it depends how far, but what's a ballpark on that? And what would constitute it (allow it)?

We've done it for years, call sheriff dept, fastest time in and out of the keys ever with a race boat. Well worth the extra money
