38 ZR or ZRC

Velocity 390, with your 700's would ride like a a Caddy and break 100.

Second vote for Donzi 38 Zr or ZrComp.
Twin 700's w/ NXT drives = 105+ in a Zr and 115 in a ZrComp. Zr - Stand up with room to run with 6-7 and a cabin. ZrComp - Hard core sit down poker run that will give you the most speed/hp (on par speed wise with Outerlimits GTX and Fountain Poker Run HP for HP) |
Id go for the gladiator, strictly performance so no need for a cabin. 700 hp and you are over the 100mph mark. I've actually thought about a gladiator for myself. My brother moved to Vancouver Island and it would be fun to play offshore racer visiting him. I haven't seen any for sale for awhile now.

Many good posts and points. Awwwh... but for a pretty much Poker Run specific tub. :) And of course you still want something that can be a weekend warrior at times.
Of course my Avanti is just that. lol.. and it is for sale. But a few points. Get something that will handle rough and $hity seas. Many events will have nasty waters, especially at start. Trailering will be important. Also having a good dock appeal at lunch and at the host marina. YOu want something that will be noticed and not just another "model A or B typical" boat. A little bling on the motors, lot's of LED's strong stereo. etc. Top end is not a priority. Normally WOT is only a few little spurts and few minutes here and there. By the way.. did I say the Avanti is up for grabs?? :) (There are some boats you want to stay away from, which won't handle the rough as much as people say it does, but I won't be specific. ) Good luck. |
