Stagger Question
 

I am curious to know what the prop to prop center line is on short stagger . My side by side set up has a 36 inch center line to center line , I believe a full stagger has a 20 inch C/L to C/L . Does any know what that dimension is on a short stagger ?

I believe full is typically 18-20, short is 22-24

My 41 apache is 18" And I think short is 24".

We have been setting up all of our staggers at 21 Center Lines. Short stagger is as close as you can get we set the motors on the ground to see how close we can get with the length of the engine room.

how much engine length do you need for a short stagger? I really would like to do some kinda stagger on my 38 Scarab Thunder :D

Dave I know the typical bilge for a full stagger is 100 inches . I am thinking of staggering the a Flat a Deck without losing most of the cockpit so a short stagger may be the way to go . I am thinking I can do it 80 inches or less that way I don't lose too much of the cockpit but as Dan said need to lay out first see just what the fit will be .

It also depends on what drives you plane to run. you can do a full stagger with bravos in 80 inches, speedmasters you need at lease 96 inches short stagger you can gain some room by putting the starboard motor forward but it all depends on your accessories package. I have done it both ways

Dave, my boat that you worked on was a short.

Can't really get much closer with the transom assembly's. I can measure whatever you want. Mine is about as tight as you can get.

Bck what is the distance from the transom to bulkhead ?
