XZ gears in a 38 TS TopGun ??
Guys
Blew an XR at the end of the season. Now the fun starts. I don't plan on using XR gears again. Would the XZ set up be heavy enough for a Cigarette?? I am running stock 525's with -2 sports master lowers. I will be adding a spacer being it is a bear to get on plane with six people in the boat. Also, I boat LOTO 99% of the time and it can get rough...:D Thanks |

Also, I dont think the new "X" gears have tick floors like old ones which makes them weaker than old "X" gears... Or are they? |
I am thinking about the B-Max set up. The gears look like they came out of a one ton truck. With my stock power, they would (should) have a long and happy life.....Or, if I ever wanted to boost the HP, they could handle it. The price of them, versus the X setup, will make the ole sphincter draw up though..:faint2:

When my buddy blew a Bravo Mr Gadgets recommended rebuilding it with X gears over XR. He said the newer XR gears weren't holding up as well as the X gears. He was running a procharged 502 with a little over 700hp.
