Thank you everyone. I finally got to log in and to my pleasant surprise, I see this thread. I'm actually taking my first boat ride in a while where I don't have to tune it, work on it, drive it, etc......cause I'm on a cruise. It's the first one in a long time that i can sit back and just relax. What's funny, is my wife went without me knowing and got my son and I a behind the scenes tour of the ship, which focuses on the engine room and mechanics. I can't wait to see it all. It's the Oasis of the Seas, which is the largest cruise ship in the world. This thing is incredible. It's a diesel electric with the electric motors driving Azipods, which rotate 360*. They actually pull the ship, with the prop in front, when going forward. It's a really neat piece. Can't wait to see what can push a 225,000 ton ship to almost 30 knots. Should be pretty cool.

Again, thank you everyone for taking the time to post. I know that everyone is busy and it really means the world to me that you could take time from your busy schedule to post such kind words. I know it's not as exciting as the drama filled threads, but I sure wish there were more threads like this about other shops. I wish more guys would be more than happy to give an honest days work for an honest days pay. Oh well, that's another discussion for another day. Thanks again everyone.

They drag race them damn near every weekend. Hell, they spend more time on land then in the water with them. It was a challenge, but that's what made it fun. We could definitely do better on the next one as we learned plenty from that one.

Nice to see threads like this pop up praising instead of just bashing. I've always owned stock 454 boats till I bought my TG three years ago now with 650hp 540,s in it and after reading certain threads that have popped up over the summer have been scared to death on finding a good high performance marine engine shop down the road when I need one. Nice to read some positive and not all negative.

such a small world, i got off the ship on Saturday and probably passed you waiting to get on, ha, the thing is amazeballs, and also what sticks out most for me is the help you gave Brad Smith Power after his passing. When i read that you were cemented in the book of good guys. enjoy the vaca!!
