Flavor of fuel for Emerald Coast Poker Run
Just a question I had for the boaters here. I have a friend who is building a marina across from your stop here in Navarre, FL. Would anyone be interested in/would there be a market for high octane fuel (sunoco race) if it was available during the event? Also do the performance boat engines use unleaded or lead fuel? I know the event is a year off but I figured it was worth the question as the marina is still under construction. Also not trying to gouge on fuel prices, I just have loved performance boats since I was a younger kid. Thank you for your responses.

I think it would definitely be welcomed as I know a lot of boats have to have their own "support" vessel for refueling. Those are the guys you should target. Most performance boats (mine included) run just fine on 91-93 unleaded.
Also congrats on the marina. We will come check it out next time we are down there (usually billy bowlegs).

There ins't enough go-fast guys in Navarre to justify having race fuel... Maybe during that 1 event but I doubt you would sell any the rest of the year.
Good luck with the marina, how long till it will be open?

Contact Stu at Florida powerboat club. It would be hard to justify the cost for a small percentage of user's. But it would be nice to have you on board for a new card stop with fuel !! I normally fill up w 93 at the pump but i ran through it all by sat lol.

Thanks for the input and sorry for the delay. Yes it would be for the one event, not year round, and we have the benefit of having a race fuel supplier that can do single events if it would be of use. The marina should be open before the year end. Will try and get with the Stu at FPC and see about a stop that would be a blast.
