Well, I must say I was very hesitate to do a new build after the last fiasco. But, I must say this has been a very good experience so far. Dave has been straight up and has deliveried what he has promised so far. The build is to be completed towards the end of year I can't believe how well the gel coat and boat has turned out so far.

My wife and I want to do some traveling to poker runs and lakes we haven't been before. I have decided to go smaller in size to pull with my f150 and easier to use. We very seldom boat in rough water. We plan to take delivery of boat in Florida around fort Myers. Looking to spend 2-3 weeks headed south to the keys.

Would love to hear from people what is the best poker runs for next year. Here is the list of runs we know we definitely want to do.

1. Cumberland thunder run and poker run
2. Boyne Thunder
3. Loto shoot out
4. Lake Lanier ?
5. St Clair run

Wondering where the best place to stay at each run and what other run do you guys recommend and why?

Here are some progress photos. The boat is going to have 565's with XR shorties with extension boxes.

Nate, No thank god.

Nate5.0 11-02-2015 06:02 AM

Lol.....Sorry to hear you had issues but happy you are getting a bad ass boat. That set up should be turn key fun every time.

I have yet to do it but the tick faw is high on the list to do.

bulletbob 11-02-2015 06:59 AM

Lake Lanier is a must do!!!

drejustice 11-02-2015 08:23 AM

Dean Ferry 11-02-2015 09:06 AM

Awesome looking boat, congrats!

frickstyle 11-02-2015 10:26 AM

The Nashville run is a good one.

precisiondetails 11-02-2015 10:59 AM

No offense- but please don't come to Havasu, I don't think the lake could handle another DCB- they are like lake lice out there. Lol... All joking aside their boats are awesome. I just spent a day at the shop in mid September going over some detail product. I'm good friends with Tony C. Great group over their from top to bottom!! Congrats on the build.

And yes come to Havasu, your DCB needs to experience home!! Haha

NORTECH-ANGLER 11-03-2015 05:19 PM

Thanks for the nice comments. Where is the best place to stay at loto? That's not booked. Looking for a good dock that don't beat the crap out of boat.
Also, boyne thunder mountain resort best place to stay for boyne thunder run?
Would love to do havasu someday but that is one heck of a haul.

Pwraddr 11-03-2015 05:53 PM

The problem you will have with Boyne is getting in.....great run though!

If you boat is still in Cali getting finished..just have them put it in storage after you fly out for your prop testing and water test....The Desert Storm run is April 26-30..once spring comes that's just on the way to taking delivery back east. You can fly out and have them meet you with the boat in AZ..do the run and then fly home...and have them finish delivery to FL..

It's what I would have done if I wasn't pushed to do our local run the early part of May.

If my boat was to be done in Dec there is no way I would let it just sit till April when you can boat here in FL and even do a poker run in January lol.

Marginmn 11-04-2015 10:44 AM

Love the colors :)

NORTECH-ANGLER 11-04-2015 07:53 PM

Nate, your damn straight. To much boating in winter to leave it sitting in Cali. Kinda, why we pulled trigger when we did. Should be ready end of year and we are going to boat at least 5-6 weeks before April...

Just telling Jeff at dcb today that red or blue with silver, black and white are always timeless pieces. Don't get me wrong I do like orange, yellows, and greens but this always dates the boat when you look back. IMO most love these color schemes better than the others. Plus I'm a huge buckeye fan and alumni.

Well if ready ready bring her to the new years fun run. We are always there and always a great showing

Big DCB fan so would love to check it out out close

Can't love the buckeyes (go gators) but your colors are fantastic and timeless. You put together amazing boat and won't be disappointed

precisiondetails 11-04-2015 11:14 PM

What are Buckeyes and Gators? They play football?...

Oh is that that college stuff?

NORTECH-ANGLER 11-05-2015 06:07 AM

No it's a small island in the keys. Have you ever been there yet?

Don Johnson 11-05-2015 08:35 AM

Congtrats on the build, boat looks stunning. Hope to see it before it leaves Cali.

LESSONLEARNED 11-07-2015 06:41 PM

Congrats, boat looks amazing...

Not sure your gonna enjoy pulling it with an f-150 though...

CLA 11-07-2015 06:47 PM

Killer boat but your going to get beat up at poker runs. Unless its a lake.

NORTECH-ANGLER 11-07-2015 07:26 PM

Everyone says the trailers pull the boat great. Package weights around 9500 lbs. we will see. Hopefully it will be good. As far as big boy poker runs I agree. Not looking to hang with 40+ boats in big water. We enjoy lakes mostly and cruising poker runs in winter. This is a few years fix for us to travel and site see new adventures without big rigs and headaches. RELIABLITY is key to me. 125 mph 2 year warranty is #1 in my book.

Well, glad to say I am extremely satisfied so far with my build. Dave, Tony, Jeff and team has be great to work with so far. Dave is a man of his word. He has currently met our agreement and is doing a fantastic job on my boat. Here are a few current photos of it getting rigged. I have decided to leave boat out at havasu for desert storm rather than splashing it in salt water for the winter.😢 Guess I will just have to wait a few more months to use it.

Good choice. Can't wait to see it in Havasu.

Too Stroked 12-19-2015 02:34 PM

I think you're really going to love those 565's. One of our customers has a 30' Eliminator with a pair of them and it's one of the hardest accelerating boats I've driven in a long, long time.

NORTECH-ANGLER 12-19-2015 05:15 PM

Too stroked, I rode in m29 with 540 and couldn't believe the mid range performance. Never been in a boat that accelerated so hard from 60-105. It threw you back. I am setting boat up for all around performance not top speed. Should be real nice for me and still burn very economical. Dave is saying top speed should be around 125-128 mph. Plenty for me.

Talked to Tony today about your boat actually. He said it works best with your setup, even better than the 400 outboard boat. Said 120-125, and he's had another one with 565s up to 122 on the limiters. Beautiful boat!! Love the colors, same as what I would order.

TBAG 12-19-2015 07:58 PM

Looking good! Hope to see you on Cumberland soon!

NORTECH-ANGLER 12-20-2015 10:04 AM

Will definitely be on Cumberland already scheduled thunder run and poker run with a few long weekends as well. Week at loto and desert storm. Can't find a room in Boyne so not sure if I'm gonna continue looking there.
