Braided. When leaving, tug and go. Not worried about the line on the dock. Nobody gets that close to my boat.

I bunch them up in a little pile to keep them out of the way takes less than 5 seconds

How about those with poles at the dock ? I ask because pretty much every dock on our lake has wooden posts (most 4x4)....therefore some of us drape the rest of the line over the pole in a quick and easy to do orderly fashion.

If your wife does it you get to keep your man card :drink: and you get bonus points if she does it topless.

Yeah, but I googled "coiled dock line" to find the image. Spring-line works...spring rope does not :drink:

a spring line is used to control forward and aft movement of the vessel when at a dock...

My Neighbor Leaves his spring lines like that on his dock when he leaves too. for ease of coming back at night and not having to think about it.

I take all my stuff with me.

Enlighten me... the more spring in a spring line the better they work actually. On our 70ft huckens we ran a smaller line on the spring to allow the boat to be puller closer to the dock for boarding....

wtf is a jackhole

sensitive much?

JRider 11-13-2015 09:01 AM

The reference was not to the function of the line, but rather in the function/use of the word. Go smoke another Ratman

I coiled mine one time while I was being written a ticket for noise ...really pissed off the Ranger .

Gordo 11-13-2015 11:01 AM

I admit, I'm guilty of coiling them on occasion. Be my luck, if I just leave them laying there, someone would trip on it and I;d get sued.
