I may have one like that one you pictured, If you are not in a real yank to get this I will look thru the parts bin to see if it is there. If it is you are welcome to it. Give me a bit to look, I will get to it.

I will look in the next couple days, if I have it, it's yours! Only for a Fountain guy!

Wow, that's very generous of you, thank you! I have all winter, so take your time. Where bouts in NY are you? I'm on the north shore of Oneida Lake but we have a camp up in A-Bay that we are at most weekends of the summer.

Well, I never did find exactly what I was looking for, and mercs cheap plastic trim in handle kit just wasn't doing it for me. So... I made my own. Aluminum housing, polished to match freshly polished throttles. If anyone is in need of the same I'd be happy to make more of them for a fee.

What are you going to do for the wiring? I used a piece of 3/16 Stainless tubing, drilled a hole in the knob, fit the tube into the hole and Tig welded it to the bottom of the lever, after grinding the edge off the lever so the tube didn't interfere with WOT.

After polishing and assembly

I have since blacked out the Formula script on the switch as this is going on my Magnum. I bought the switch from here http://greatlakesskipper.com/baja-fo...ol-trim-switch I'd still like to add a clamp on twin switch for my tabs.

the merc plastic copied in allun turned out really nice
the tube is how it comes from merc also
I was lazy and just bought the parts,,, lever and trim switch assy lol
turned out nice in red
this is when I was doing resto on boat
blue cables go to indicators that I made a box to mount on top of dash as no room on dash to hide cables
also made a plate to go under throttles to hold my k plane switches
for easy acess to them

Basically doing the exact same thing! I ordered some 3/16 stainless and plan to drill a hole like you and tig it at the bottom. What type of drill bit did you use?

Well mine were different, they already had the tube built in so it was just add a dual switch. First time I got lucky on something, better go buy some lotto tickets.

Just a HSS 3/16 bit with cutting oil and a nice slow speed
