If you have a way of transporting the boat once in Havasu, it is an EASY drive to move it up to Lake Mohave (Laughlin/Bullhead), Lake Mead (Las Vegas) or Lake Powell. All the lakes are a few of hours apart. Each has a uniqueness to them and well worth running each. Once spring hits in Havasu, it is the main Mecca, But don't rule the others out, they are ALL busy!
The best part of the South West is the weather is nice that time of year, 80's in the day, 50's at night...
You can also fly into Las Vegas and Run down to any of the lakes. If you kept the boat at Movave or Meade, you would have a SHORT commute to run the boat on a quick weekend jaunt. And then bring it down to Havasu for Desert Storm. Personally I am prejudiced towards Mohave since we lived and boated there for 5 years, but that is just me....
