Field run off yes... But let's not forget about municipal waste... When you get an inch of rain in an hour most city sewers cannot handle the volume so they open the treatment tanks and purge out human waste. Checkout how often it happens -- you don't want to swim around those areas!

OK, thanks. I know I can shower on the island but I usually jump in with a bar of soap for a quick wash up and we have a beer before we gas up and dock. I was just reading in the BoatU.S. magazine that the algae is toxic.
