I am sure that it was a decision that wasn't taken lightly by everyone involved as it is Mike Fiore's legacy. Fortunately those that were in control of Mike's company after his tragic passing took the actions they did to keep Outerlimits as we all know it, building boats. Mike's wife Shonda, the Fiore and Whipple Family's, the dedicated employees of Outerlimits, Joe, Mike's close friends and Matt Trulio - all have a reason to be offended by the tangents that this thread has gone off on. The family is still dealing with their loss and this mud slinging/ soap box "holier than thou" critiques of a negative nature (which no one has any personal involvement to critique on) has to give everyone involved are real warm and fuzzy feeling towards people at the moment. Mike was a good down to earth guy that built a beautiful, well engineered craft......now his boats and future designs will now continue! |
I hear they have plenty of orders for new boats BTW .

^^^^^Rollin is a perfect example of repeating happy customers with Mike and after.

So much negativity with this thread, when really this is a happy time in the go fast community. Instead of another leading boat builder in this industry falling to the wayside, it's going to continue stronger than ever. Win, win for everyone involved. Workers keep their jobs, customers continue to buy boats and the legacy of Mike Fiore continues.
I've personally have had the pleasure to get to know Joe Sgro very well over the last few years and consider him a friend. I've been lucky enough to have many dinners, poker runs and even run boats with him. He is one the most stand up guys in this business. His passion for boats, Outerlimits, Mike Fiore's Legacy and a sucsessful business is truly inspiring to younger guy like in this boating community. I consider the OL community a tight knit family, that I am happy to be a part of. I don't know the facts or do I even care to of the past, all I know is I don't think there is a man that would walk into a company that had it's ups and downs and stick his neck out the way that Joe has done. Well done Joe! And Danny keep doing what Mike taught you to do. |
And to add to what I said about workers keeping there jobs, it's hard enough for a small business to succeed as it is with Obama at the helm.
