How long did the engines sit with water in them?

Just curious. How long have you owned this boat, how long ago were the engines built, what were the things that led to the failures, are you suggesting were the engine builders fault?

Do we have any pics of the boat and or oil or valve covers open? My issue would be that getting water (salt) or not into the oil is bad. The needle bearing in the rockers will go soon after you think it's ok. To me it's sounds like a tear down to me. Let's see some pics if you got them

hmmmmm. if you decide you might part with the boat i would be interested in it...

+1 that's why I wanted to see some pics to see how good or bad the boat is, to either fix or let go.
