Thoughts prayers and godspeed to your dad boating in the clouds.
|
Among the many great things your dad obviously achieved, he gave you the gift of boating. That gift will stay with you forever and I'm sure he knows how much you appreciate it. I got my sea legs from my dad the same way and there's not a boating day passes when I don't think of him, even if only for the briefest of moments.
Beautiful memories, may he rest in peace. |
Sorry for your loss first and foremost, but it sounds like he had a great life , and as been said you don't get over it but learn to deal with the loss over time . I lost my dad last year at age 88, and it still seems there was nothing he couldn't do or overcome, except time. May he rip, and hope the holidays help you through this time.

Sorry to hear, does sound like he had a good life. Lost mine 24 years ago and still think about him.
RIP Your next boat ride he will be with you. |
A truly heart warming story about a father and his son............I can relate in so many areas, (European dad served in the war was taken prisoner in Japan for 2 years) loved the ocean and built me my first boat.
14' runabout with 18 hp evenrude................it's heart breaking to see what was (always) the strongest person succumb and become frail...............no words to discribe the loss of a father that happens to also be a great friend and mentor. |
Very sorry for your loss:(

My condolences.

Sorry for your loss, you'll always have the memories.

I am very sorry for your loss! He sounds like a great man.

My sympathies, there are going to be a bunch of great men in heaven who enjoy boating.
