Another new 29 Defiant goes into production!
As some of you know I broke my leg in 3 places at the beginning of the Key West Annual Poker Run. We had prepared and brought the latest 29 Savage to be displayed in the F.P.C. poker run village. Unfortunately I never had the opportunity to show the boat as I ended up at the Lower Keys Medical Center, surrounded by injured drunks and roosters, getting a splint put on for the ride home.
Call me crazy but when the ortho surgeon strolled in with flip-flops, cargo shorts and an unusual t-shirt I opted for ortho people at Holy Cross back in Fort Lauderdale to put 'humpty-dumpty' back together.
This was 4 weeks this coming Friday.
It took a week and a half to get lined up for the surgery, insurance approvals and an operating room. 2 weeks ago they went in through the knee and inserted a titanium rod from knee to ankle.
My Facebook followers have razzed me about no boating, no 6 speed Mustang GT driving, blah-blah-blah.
Today, with minor help of crutches, I loaded up in the new 29 Savage and did a demo and sold another boat. 2 weeks after surgery!
Congrats to Paul and Diane from upstate New York. The look on your faces were priceless when I dropped down in the bolster and fired up the Verados! I look forward to seeing this boat in the Thousand Islands this summer and down in Fort Meyers next winter.
Here's our paint design for starters! This a take off of what I was going to do on my next demo boat so I am partial to it.
And special thanks to Dr. Lee Ebersberger. He's part of the Meli- Ortho Group that has done both my knees. This guy is GOOD! Now one bionic leg, I am back in the bolster.

Sorry for the ignorance but is Defiant in the thread title a typo?
Anyways, awesome boat and good luck with the leg.
Please keep us updated on the build, from what I can see of the small pic the paint looks great!

Hey you can do some fine medical work with the Drunks and Roosters!

I bet Hawkeye did some great patch work in flip flops and cargo shorts also..
Congrats on the sale and get well. Remember just because you can doesn't necessarily mean you should. Try to be a compliant patient!

Congrats on the sale and congrats to the new owners.
It's hard to believe a month has gone by since I hauled your crippled butt home.
