I agree with the .45 being the round to use.

1911 is weapon of choice, but when you really have multiple targets and want to make a statement bring your Tommy Gun. Now that is "one nasty .45".

Tejas Raz:

On #9 you are wrong. I spent 13 months in the Marine Corps at the DMZ in 68-69 and the most important thing you can do is stay low and lay down lead in a major fire fight. You may have different knowledge but in the jungle getting the lead out is the most important thing.

Tulsa Larry,

That may work in the jungle but if you get into a situation in the grocery store parking lot, "laying down lead" isn't a good idea. Court's don't really like it when you miss your attacker and shoot innocent bystanders.

A HUGE percentage of cops and other gunfight survivors clearly remember using the sights.

How about this for rule #25:
When in gunfight and you are declared the winner, be ABSOLUTELY sure you are the winner (again, ammo is cheap)! Dead men don't testify, nor do they sue!

>>stay low and lay down lead in a major fire fight<<

Got me there! I was too young for that fight, but I do like the "One Shot, One Kill" way of thinking.

Of course like "jmeng" noted, I was refering to the concrete jungle.

Vest? Hell Yea! And hope they shoot "gangsta" style. They'll never hit you.

SummerObsession: Yea man, but I still go back to my two shots...
tightly grouped high-center mass - in the heart.
And if'n that don't work...
Raise the sights 12" & two to the head.

I say a 38 special minimum for personal protection, but most studies I have seen the 45 acp is the quickest stopper. Just remember, a hit with a 22 beat a miss with a 44. As for the Casul, be sure to hit with the first shot!

This is just my hog hunting arsenal. I've added a couple since the pics.

This is the sticker on my truck. Tends to keep tailgaters at bay.
