The Bajas while interesting I don't think will reach 80 on stock merc 502s, I would guess that at at 70 mph package.
The active thunder is pretty neat, but as a new model I think will be above my budget.
A bow rider cat, like the Magic or an Ultra might do it with 600 hp.
I see a few sensation. 32s with twin 6.2L engines, I would probably have to add supercharger to break 70. May not be worth the effort and I'm not sure it can be done within budget

the 38ZX easily holds six seated (so eight is do-able but two standing) and with the 525SC will be close to eighty (mine stock when new did 82) as well as obtainable in the 80K range. Its also a timeless design and in my opinion one of the best looking boats ever.

Drove a buddies 2005 32 Dominator Sunsation MCOB with twin 6.2's, and it ran 72 on GPS. Pretty good running boat and great on fuel.

Being from the west coast I looked at everything out here once i sold my Donzi and Sea Ray and wanted to go with one boat that would do it all.. So the hunt was on for a Donzi 28zxo twin 350mag and hyd steering. or Sunsation 288 single 496ho.
After months of southwest flights and surveys I found a Sunsation 32SS mid cabin that fit the bill perfect .
Not knocking the builders out here but im 6ft ish and the freeboard for big water boats vs Lake designed boats is what sold me. The high freeboard in the Bow aswell will make your passengers feel planted in at low cruise speeds. Both those makes have purpose built Bowriders as you are in them and not on them.
Check the classifieds as there is both versions out there and hopefully a drive away for you to seem them .
