Cast crank destruction

Buddy found this in his street cruiser....not sure the exact cause but he speculates the front cap was not torqed down 100% said it broke loose like he could have taken it off with his fingers...

when i went out for the test ride in my 38 fountain the port motor broke the lunati forged 4.5 stroke crank,it took the main cap with it.needless to say that was a bargaining chip for me.i planned on going through the engines anyway.

Have seen a few cast cranks in the std peanut port app snap , really kind of a bizzare failure.
Have seen them come out of the womb with different sized bearings too ,to get them out in the market.
Think the guy running the cast bbc crank division at the general must of been somebodys relative..
