Not hard to understand the mentality one bit, it's rather pathetic IMO and sad.

So if Al sharpton or maybe the kkk is selling a product you desire you just fork over your money? Take your pick as to the most reprehensible. Not that I could ever afford a boat he would shoot , but I certainly don't patronize businesses whom I disagree with philosophically.

I've learned a long time ago when in business you need to check your politics and religions at the door. We sold floor covering in the 1980's long before gay rights were mainstream. When you are trying to feed yours and many others families their money is as green as anyone else's. Installed many jobs also, gay people are not rolling around naked when you walk in their houses (there was this gay chick couple I wish just one time they were but...). The same way cops are not throwing you up against the wall and frisking you as you walk in their house. Most were great to work for. I also agree with Kasich and if you don't want to business with someone its your right and if someone doesn't want your business just move along to the next one and let the free market take care them. This day and age with social media its not like the word wont get out.
I will say again I don't think you should boycott someone because of an opinion but that's just me coming from a state that Dems out number Rep 2 to 1. If I boycotted people that didn't think like me I pretty much couldn't go anywhere.

Business choosing customers is quite different than customer choosing business to patronize.

Agree, I have a family member that owns a business and he's vocal regarding his politics...it's affected his business, fact. I saw some stuff on the internet that can't be deleted, it's out there and the traffic coming to his business has slowed to a measurable amount...he won't stop either. In my business I don't talk about it one bit, if someone brings it up I just smile, nod my head and say nothing...it's pointless anyway, nobody's stance has ever been changed and in the end we're all being played by big money.

I've also seen this type of political thing fracture a family, it's a very very sad situation affecting all members...is it really worth it?
