Default Chris-Craft 25-Footer Making U.S. Debut In Miami

Even for hardcore performance boat enthusiasts, there's just something about a Chris-Craft, http://speedonthewater.com/new-boats...debut-in-miami.

That whole lineup, Corsair and Capri, are great looking boats, but good looks aren't cheap, and never will be. The 21' model looks ok, but model looks good to, but this 25' is perfect.

.

I also like the 28...very classy.

I always go to the ChrisCraft booth first when I used to go to the NY Boat Show at Jacob Javits in NYC. Always a great lineup of boats there. Can't wait to see the 28 in Miami.

I looked at every model they had last time I went to the Miami show. The wood work is amazing and they are a work of art. Wonder if they ever use blue motors? Seems most are Volvo power now. The 28 has great lines but even the 18 was impressive for its compact size.

Shockingly enough.......they don't use SeaDek for flooring!

Sorry the Vertical bow on the new models is butt ugly in my eyes, stupid euro fad everyone is jumping on the bandwagon with.

Not a big fan of how these look but I bought an early 2000's 21ft open bow new and it was a "brick chithouse"!

The verticle bow is just a revisit to their very early wooden lap strake hull design's....nothing really new.

For your own Chris - was it a Gel hull or painted? If it was painted - did the paint hold up or gas off in areas like the new ones have the issue with in the sun?

It was a gelcoat hull that looked like alot of the other bowriders out there at the time.....a little deeper freeboard, little bathroom in front of passenger, and 21 degree bottom. The freeboard allowed the engine to sit under the rear bench instead of behind it which really opened up the floor plan. 21ft bowrider that weighed 3,800lbs dry. With the 280hp volvo DP it would still hit 60 on the "dream-o-meter"
