V-Drive gear direction

V-Drive gear direction
Got this old Casale C-1000 and I'm trying to figure out a couple gear sets I have. I have one set that has L.H. stamped on them. Have another set that has R.H stamped on them and another set with nothing on them but numbers (they all have numbers but the others also have direction).
Questions, Is the R.H. set for a right hand prop and the L.H for a Left? Also is the set with no direction on them bi-directional?
