^What he said. If you come out of the boat at speed, those vests are going to get ripped off of you. Thats why the lifeline has crotch straps to keep it on.
The lifelines aren't CG approved, not because they're not safe, but because they're all custom. They would have to do the CG approval process on each vest individually basically. They do make a lot of "standard" sizes that you see Teague sell, but I'm not sure its enough to do the CG approval. |
Lifeline. I ordered two custom jackets last year for me and the wife. Expensive but nice jackets and good customer service. Can't put a coat limit on good jackets.

Good info.. would you say the comfort level of sitting in a bolster sit is still good with the sport vest and not allowing it to climb up. I typically stand but wife sits more often. (only reason I would have considered the Lifeline aviator series was for comfort sitting)

I sit with the lifeline sport jacket and its comfortable. I don't notice it riding up at all. Hardly even notice I'm wearing it.

Ordered two Lifelines with custom colors to match my boat. Possibly the only Checkmate owner to do that, but there's nothing more important than the safety of you and your passengers.
