After 4.5 years I still have mine and I remember reading this thread 4 years ago, great reading!! Its been a great boat with no plans on selling.

I purchased a 1988 XLT 185, last week, in Grand Rapids Michigan, which is where it still resides. I've wanted one since I was 11 years old and am very happy to finally have one, some 30 years later. It's yellow/gray with the European windshield and it still moves pretty well.

Thanks for the interesting reading on the 185's, it re-kindled my interest in this boat and led to this purchase. Now I have to restrain myself from getting into the type of upgrades I've been reading about on here.
