Default Fresh water pump question

Hi all, we just purchased a 1997 Baja 38 Special and are on a mission to fix any issues with the boat. One that we can't figure out is the water pump, when we turn on the switch and got all the air out of all the faucets and toilet (hot and cold) the pump still stays on. Is this normal? our rv shuts off once it builds pressure.

depends on the kind of pump it is....if it has a pressure sensor in the system then it should turn off....if its just a pump then it will continue to run till you kill the power....
