Thats the pik I was looking for. Thanks... Anu chance you have a pik off center showing where you mounted them in relation to the chine?

If I remember right, I put them 1/2 " in and 1/2" up from the bottom...
This is the only other pic I have.... Let me know if you need me to take any more.. :) http://i130.photobucket.com/albums/p...psesjxpxcj.jpg |

From my understanding with the narrow hull, when mounted conventionally, they like to push the stern sideways creating yaw. mounted horizontal it just pushes the nose down. Also with the tab progressively entering the water you get finer control too. On narrow boats thats a plus because a little input can make a big difference.
I first mounted them a little inboard and parallel to the hull. When I would drop one tab to correct a list, the stern would start to skate sideways just as the list was corrected... Likely my 18.5" X dimension played in to this some, but yeah,... It was NOT fun... original mounting location.... http://i130.photobucket.com/albums/p...psvwjnpedk.jpg |
Thanks guys, I will keep this in mind if I put tabs on my Banana.

I had big Eddie marine's on my Avanti mounted conventional and you had to be really careful in the rough for the reasons described above...
