i will post more today at 5 pm, this is a MAJOR pain to post. OSO only allows 75000 bytes a download and you see how little text that is. article is maybe 1/3 done at this point. gets much more interesting . does anyone have any info that shows any of this to be false? i have kept this mag. article since 1991 just because of how interesting it is.

SummerObsession,
A script already exists for a movie about Don Arronow. I agree, that it would make a great movie. It seems that the project has been canceled. I dont know if it was a budget factor or if someone did not want this movie to be made. It makes one wonder why?
This is a link to another thread that discussed the script.

Formerly just a Lurker, but had to jump in! I just read this morning in the New York Times that a movie producer (I can't remember his name but he is suing Steven Segall for something) has the rights, script, money, and signed Tom Cruise to star in the movie about "The Don".

Damn, I'm always a day late and a dollar short.
Seriously, I'm not making fun of this, I have seen lots of movies that aren't half as interesting as just this article.
As for nobody being interested, again I must point to Miami Vice.
Retro is big these days, and for those of us who watched the show religously when it came out, we must face facts. 80's are now retro.

In the book "George Bush: The Unauthorized Biography" chapter 20 deals with Don Aronow's relationship with George Bush and how Bush helped him get the contract for the Blue Thunders for the DEA and Customs. Many of the statements in this book contradict the story we are reading on this thread. Check out the excerpt from the book:

BTW, they say the Blue Thunder cat was a flop that only went 56 mph.
