It's normally barely noticeable...just something they did to add to/break up the lines of the boat is my guess. Some of the SSR models have that area air brushed, which makes it stand out and looks kinda weird.

I believe they are called Laminar Flow Interrupters or something along those lines. Wayne told me once what they do but I would probably butcher the explanation since it was a long time ago. They are more than cosmetic.

I think the biggest problem I would have going to one of these events is thinking I have a nice boat and then something way bigger and badder pulls up next to me and makes me feel like my boat sucks!!! LOL!!

As usual, it was a damn fine event!
This needs to be on every boaters bucket list for sure. I got to meet a few OSO members who made it down this year, and have a few notes for future attendees from up north: 1) don't stand in the little mounds of dirt in the grass areas. They are fire ants and they will light you up! 2) the little black fly looking bugs that are connected at the butt are love bugs. They show up in the spring and fall with the sole purpose to mate and screw up that beautiful paint job on your boat and truck. 3) Even though it doesn't seem like it, those worm buckets that you drink at the Prop Stop do have a LOT of alcohol in them. Makes you do silly things that you can't remember the next day until the video pops up on facebook. 4) Don't rub your eyes after eating crawfish, and while on that subject, it's pronounced CRAW - FISH not cray fish 5) It's not hot down here yet, but be sure to wear your sunscreen when you come. 6) And speaking of hot, yea, the women down here are really that hot. |

Louisiana guy who, if I'm not mistaken, is the one that builds those jet bikes
