It sounds awesome taking off. Just like a military jet on takeoff. I had some guys down who hadn't seen or heard of a turbine boat, and they were literally in awe.

Have been on Statements old turbine cat a few times and ran in it in the Texas Outlaw shootout. Love them a LOT, just had never seen that Eliminator before and I like it! |
That boat was displayed at the 2007(? could have been 2008) Miami boat show. It looks like the boat anyway. 28', single motor if I remember right. It was the last time I saw my friend Jim Foley who was in the west coast boat biz for decades. Jim and I got to know each other when he was with SleekCraft and I was their dealer in Illinois. He worked with Eliminator until he died. He was a great guy. Anyway, on topic, its a very cool boat

Any pics of "pure evil"?
That boat is stunning. Is it still trying to run those 1500/1600 HP motors these days? |

POST # 41 is 100 % correct about the Sunsation.
They are laminar flow interruptors as Regal boats intro those way back - end of year 1996 - 20 years ago with their new Fastrac hull - the 2100 series got that design first for regal and then rest of the models followed. Also Regal boats went to court over that single step design as they were being sued by Harry Schoell over their hull bottom. The purpose of the laminar flow interruptors are to do with corning and tight turns - hence the reason why they are added. Pic below showing the Regal hull, 1997 year model 2100 series http://www.iboats.com/sites/perduema...al2100lsr2.jpg |
