Doesn't sound like you got robbed based on the cost of the part and the potential difficulty to install. However, for the price it should not be leaking again and I would want it fixed correctly. Good luck!

I had to come back up because I got a phone call from someone else saying that people actually think that I worked on this OP's BOAT.

THE FACTS ARE I HAVE NO IDEA WHO THE OP IS NOR HAVE EVER TOUCHED HIS BOAT NOR HE HAS NEVER BOUGHT ANYTHING OFF OF ME PERIOD - EVER.

I AM TRYING TO HELP AS HE WAS ASKING FOR HELP ONLY.

THE FACT IS I HAVE INSTALLED PLENTY OF THESE BUT NOT FOR THIS PERSON. I AM TRYING TO HELP ONLY. ITS PLAIN AND SIMPLE EVEN OFFERED MY PERSONAL CELL NUMBER FROM A PERSON THAT I WILL MOST LIKELY NEVER EVEN MAKE A DIME OFF OF.

I WOULD LIKE MY NAME CRYSTAL CLEARED ABOUT ALL OF THIS. THANK YOU.

THE NEW COOL FUEL IS A BIT DIFFERENT THAN THE OLDER VERSIONS THRU MERC CURRENTLY>

I need to know where it is leaking water or is it gas ???

Need to know how this and procedures was for installment of the new cool fuel GEN III as depending on labor costs / charges. IMO sounds a bit high but I do not know all the details.

I have to get back to work myself. My number is open thru email.

HOPE THIS CLEARS ALL OF THIS UP ON MY END.

There is special procedures for installing the new cool fuel so leaks of water and fuel do not take place. One is you have to use perfect seal on the threads for the front side blue drain plug. Thats only one of them.

Also the new style BIB NEEDS to be installed with this newer cool fuel set up. If they cut the old hoses to install they are cob jobbers.

FWIW I understood that he was appealing to you for your opinion on this repair. Which I have no doubt you are reluctant to give without all the facts.

BUP, it was crystal clear from the beginning! This thread was a shout-out for your help. Only a douchebag could not see that!!

So a hundred an hour over the mechanic should cover his workmans comp, and insurance is something of the past.

Double the price of the parts for. markup and that easily covers the costs of the over head,

We recently have had a nice beautiful marina come into town here in Fort Myers . Not mentioning any names Cough cough Diversified.

What a phukin disaster. I have personally witnessed them Phucking up 4 Boats with a value of 2 million between the 4 . Their help is on phukin unbelievable . You could not hire people this stupid if you searched for them.

This is a quality marina that is pulling and working on Million dollar boats all day .

Phukin disaster their help is. But hey hey hey pay them 17 an hour and Bill it out at 130 and you Re getting some quality help there.

Just make sure when they pull your Million dollar boat boat out of the water that the 15 dollar an hour Haitan knows where to place the straps , like the one that didn't that pulled. My buddies boat.

Ever seen a boat buckle when it is not lifted correctly ?
