Did it both ways. Assemble on parking lot and towed with boat from launch ramp. Just yesterday we towed complete lift from Hammond to Diversay Harbor. Slow but save lot of time putting
lift together. Planning to store in Mantrose after season. They have lift capable of pulling out assembled lift.
