Wet slip

Does anyone here wet-slip their gofast boat for the whole season? Using anything for the bottom?

If your as anal as most of us...you won't be happy about how dirty and stained the bottom gets. Pull it every couple of weeks and clean with Slimy Grimey. Bottom painthe will slow the boat and hurt value.

Yeah i don't care about dirty as much as blisters and whatnot. I want to buy a fast boat but also want the harbor life. No lifts in chicago harbors either. I did it with an unprotected bottom last year and everything came off the bottom and no blisters either though. So i don't know.

I do but in extremely clean and cold water. I also have a epoxy barrier coat on the hull bottom. Occasionally get the snorkel gear out and scrub the bottom clean.

Yeah I'm in lake michigan (chicago). Super clean and cold as well. Everything powerwashed right off with an electric powerwasher after 6 months being in the water. I did use colinite fleetwax on it prior to wet slipping. Which epoxy barrier coat did you use and what kinda boat?

When I did mine in CA I had a diver scrub the bottom every month. Worked very well.

What kinda boat? With bottom paint?

Might want to do some searching and see if your boat is prone to getting blisters.

Formula 272 LS and no paint. Now I did put on the trailer about mid season and end of season to really clean the bottom. The diver keeps it tidy and critter free but not real clean.
