SB your Tesla quote is interesting. It made great press but doesn't allow for the development of micro electronics or nano technology which were both mathematical theories at some point.

interesting note the rise in sea level is also due to thermal expansion of the in the earths entire body of water as well as the ice melt at about a fifty fifty rate.
