Never heard that before and know 2 people with financed statements.
Also seems odd that most banks won't loan on them as you say yet they have quite a few dealer programs with order new and financing options.

You may want to confirm w/ your lender that they will loan against a Statement. They build a great product, but I have heard they have fallen short w/ providing NMMA model info which is why they aren't listed in NADA. Unfortunately, most lenders use NADA to determine watercraft values. I'm not saying they won't lend on them, but the criteria may not be what you are typically used to. Just something for you to research and keep in mind.

Ultimately each of the CC's mentioned by the OP has it's pros and cons so I think it just depends on the buyers priorities.
The below is a list of things I took into consideration when I was shopping for a New CC.
How would you prioritize the following if in the CC market yourself?
In No Particular Order
Price / Resale Value
Fit / Finish
Manufactuerer / Dealer Network and Stability
Ability to tow w/o having to own a $80k+ truck
Length / Beam
Cruise & Top Speed
Rough water capability
Wind protection
Seating / Lounging
Overnight capabilities / Amenities
Dockside Appeal
There's really no Right or Wrong Answer just a matter of how you elect to prioritize the list to meet your own needs.

For me it was price and newer model with warranty. I had a ceiling. The Statement met all my needs in my budget.
Unlimited funds
MTI
$400k+ range
Nortech 390 with trips
Not at either of those places right now.
So I'm a happy used Statement owner....for now

That kind of sensible boat shopping is what allows you to have multiple boats to satisfy diversified needs.
