Agree, but much of that is brought on by assho!es acting like idiot around the restuants/docks. When you sit at the dock revving your engine for no other reason than to irritate people then you get this type of backlash. To be honest, I can't recall ever being on the receiving end of a nasty attitude because of my boats. I'd approach on one engine firing the second only for maneuvering around the dock, not revving, keeping a considerate distance, warn non-aware people before firing up, you get the picture, you can make a difference if you try.

Now there's not much you can do with fire breathing giant horsepower engines but you're gone in an minute, not hanging in a quiet cove for hours.
