looking to see if there is any older 30' svl hulls only for sale
still with full canopy
im looking for another project ground up build
not to race it but for rough water blasting and poker runs
with all new everything and really good power
convert capsule to 4 man poker run style with open canopy
don't matter if has a bit of rot as can redo everything
hull just needs to be in good condition for a good starting point
lmk whats out there retired and sitting around,,will make it nice and put it back to use

Very few sitting around. Most are still racing regardless of age. Some older ones went to Trinidad and race. Maybe the Lavey craft is still around and could be bought. Whats your budget ? There is probably less than 30 SVL boats ever build. Room to put in a back seat is almost none existent. Maybe Phantom made one or two but just guessing. Most were built to race not Poker Run. You would be better off looking for a existing open boat you don't have to convert IMO

I know how yalls boat are made and location of capsule
I have built and raced quite a few boats through the yrs also
want to leave the capsule and fabricate/modify it to my own design from that
not looking for a typical production windshield or fairing boat to start with
im finished with my last project boat and looking for another to start

there is a 42 fountain here that is also listed in classifieds for sale
its a capsuled boat with the top cut off their calling a poker run top deck
if it had big motors and drives it would be awesome
I want to make that look in a small 30'er with good power and drive
or u asking about the finished boat?

boat I have now is a 1985 27' Excalibur ,,,,everything replaced and modded except the hull and original paint
goal was to be able to cruise 75 through my normal bay slop,,,,,and break 100 under power
with a straight bottom and outboards,,,,,,
finished boat cruises 5-6,000 which is 71-84mph with 30 cleavers
motors go 8,000+ and haven't taken past 7500 as hull made for rough not high speed
as deep vee with wide lifting strakes out the rear transom gets slippery if water too calm
already labbed props to hull and added 1"in length to the skegs
boat rides 1-3 awesome and does goe past 100

yes triple offshore motors,,,,cged with 31 series agm battery in bow and 35 gallon fuel tank under front floor with 12gpm transfer pump
12-20 gallons pr the water conditions
