I'm running the short ones on my 525SC with CMI E-tops, very happy with them and they did not hurt my speed.

Any idea on the sound reduction difference between the 3 ring and 5 ring and sport/competition insert? There are so many options lol

I have a variant of them integrated in my bolt on tips. Gained me about 3-4 mph over the silent thunder platform they replaced. They gave me more of a bass note over wide open tips and are very nice.

to all that have pm'd me about my spare GGB's...

I'm waiting to hear back from a friend of mine now to see if he wants them as the NP are starting to raise cain around here...

I just mounted my new set tonight and they make a huge difference in the noise -- and what I've been told on the dyno the difference in power is very little to none depending on the application...

money well spent with these

i've got the 4x12 sports, they take the edge off and get me down to ~96db. legal in my area is 94db for older boats (pre 1990?) and 93db for the newer boats. This is down from ~ 118db (or maybe it was 112db...I don't recall for sure). If tested i won't pass, but hopefully this will keep me from being tested.

I purchased a set of sport 5 ring 8.5" inserts yesterday. Should be here Friday. I bought them directly from GGB. I have to say they were very helpful on the phone and had shipped them out within an hour of my phone call with the tracking number emailed to me.

I'll update when I try them out this weekend.
