Agreed. I look forward to learning. I'm very excited and enjoy the boat. I apologize if I post too much. I have tons of questions.

Does driving around with the exhaust set to quiet do any harm to the boat?

akaboatman 06-30-2016 04:19 PM

Yes! Boats are like Harley's loud pipes save lives. Lol!

poiuy10 06-30-2016 04:20 PM

only the EGO is harmed... the boat will be fine.

Uberlord 06-30-2016 04:47 PM

I gotta do the quiet thing cause sometimes my wife wants to talk to me while we r drivin. Thought if it ruined the boat I could use that as an excuse. Lol.

Repairs can be fun if you're not an expert. I read so many repairs on here done by you guys and wish I had the knowledge to do the same. I'm no mechanic but can figure out simple repairs, by using logic. Repairs that would take a technician 2 hours may take me most of the day but the satisfaction makes it worthwhile and I learn so much more about my boat in the process.

Keep on enjoying and never be afraid to tackle a repair job. If you screw it up, it may cost you more to have it professionally fixed but if you get it right, think how much you're saving and how much you're learning!

Don't forget, OSO is a great place to get advice before starting on a repair.
