lowrance 3500 depth finder replacement?
I have a lowrance 3500 depth finder who's lcd screen is not reading all the digits correctly (missing bits of certain digits) this unit is 10yrs old and discontinued! I was wondering I only need the gauge replaced because the transducer is working fine(192hz) is there another brand i can buy just the gauge and plug and play with out replacing the transducer?

the 3500 is discontinued, the bad news, there is to my knowledge not a 192 hz replacement so the transducer if thru hull will also have to be replaced

20 degree bronze tilted element is what i used connected to my hds7 gen1 on .the sundancer
the hole was too small so i cut down a piece of wood that fit the old hole so there was some thing for the pilot drill of the hole saw for the new hole.

Its long gone and worked great in its day. But time has by passed it with a newer unit as the 3800 has been out for years now.
Install this.

Mine died last summer and I replaced it over the winter with this one:

It works great. I pick up the bottom as soon as the back of the boat hits the water. I ready down to 1.2 feet reliably.
Make sure you take the time to test where you want to place the transducer. Clean it and sand to fresh material etc. Basically follow the instructions on the transducer install.

Fast forward a few more years. I have that long long expired Lowrance 3500 that the numbers are finally scrambling and unreadable. What's the latest suggested option now in 2020? Thank you -

I am patiently awaiting response just in case mine goes! I dont want holes in my dash or non-working gauges of any sort...ugh!
