SADDLE UP tribute

This tribute was posted on FB. This goes to show how much Anthony and Tammy were loved. This really sucks. It was pleasure knowing you cowboy and lucky to call you a friend and for you to meet my Jade. I will miss you greatly seeing that blk cowboy hat at the runs. I know you don't want any of us sad and just want us to have a smile in our face but it's hard knowing yall two were taken from us so soon. May you and Tammy race in peace. I'll see you again on the other side. SADDLE UP son.

They don't make them like that anymore twins. One minute with them and they would take their shirts off for you. That's how they rolled.

SPITFIRE 07-19-2016 10:53 PM

Amazing to hear the level of respect and genuine good will towards those involved in this tragedy. Godspeed to all who's lives have been touched by them.

Saw the videos going around FB of the boat out and being enjoyed. I am happy it went to owners that know it's history and have respect for it but will also enjoy it just as much.

That is a very special boat and hope you enjoy it as much as Anthony and Tammy did.

ALL_IN! 10-15-2019 10:24 AM

I agree - very special boat. Anthony and Tammy were great people.

I am curious if you have any intentions of painting this boat? Almost everyone in the powerboating sport knows the boat and no one would have any ill feelings if you did, but I think it should always have a black cowboy hat on it somewhere for tribute to it's previous owner.

I've been thinking about this boat for the last yr so so and have been wondering if they would be interested in selling. With Cumberland being my home lake I knew the owners and have thought a lot about the paint and what could be done and you are absolutely right.

The paint is one of the reasons we were attracted to the boat. No thoughts of doing anything different except updating the electronic and some upholstery. We live 65 miles as the crow flies from Chicago so hopefully that will be one of our frequent day trips!

Maybe we will make it down to Cumberland on day. I imagine it would be an emotional event for a lot of people. Seems as though Tammy and Anthony had a huge impact on a lot of people. We only plan on making the boat better not sure paint will be part of that though! Green is our favorite color!

boatfreak 10-16-2019 03:29 PM

Yeah it would be an emotional event for sure to see it at state dock. I'm sure we will meet next summer as we have a mutual friend just up the river from you.

Just curious was the boat listed for sale anywhere or did you seek it out? Always wondered about the whereabouts of it.

The boat was not listed for sale nor did we seek it out. It's a long story how we ended up with it! Not only did we get a gorgeous boat but we made a lifetime friendship with the owner's daughter. It was truly meant to be!

Steve and Laura with the 47 Outerlimits.

Glad to hear the boat found a good home. I was scanning thru some old pics the other day and ran across some I took rafted up in Cumberland. Made me wonder.. That remains one of my all time favorite boats.

If you need any help with the electronics upgrades, feel free to hit me up. I'll happily donate my skills to help update that icon.

Bests,
