Cord;

Your graphics turned out pretty sweet. If you can get a motor with 600HP at the to crank push your hull 90 mph that is a feat in itself to be proud of. If you're running 1.5 gears you'll need to turn a 30" prop over 6000 to get 100......It takes 850HP+ @ the crank to push my 26 Carrera there. Let us know how things work out.

jd-who knows you maybe right. I hope not though. My guess is that you don't have as much set back as I do. I'm banking on 10mph from the box alone.

I have a 12" Imco box.... Still getting that dialed in though. Going to try a 2" short shaft. I'll be happy if I gain 5 mph with both the box and shorty. Had a very high "X" before the box. With a 175HP shot of NOS I picked up about 600rpm and 9 mph on the old set-up. Who knows maybe we'll find 10 mph. How much does your hull weigh "wet"? approx?

Dean-I don't have any current engine pics. Don't matter as the bilge is still coated with ps fluid. I have a couple of the dash and some of the wiring, but that's kinda boring stuff. How's the new boat shopping coming?

jd-I had one board member tell me that he gained 15mph with a box and shortie. If only we could be so lucky. I'm currently 1" above the bottom and it planes out great. Proably can go up another inch without any problems. We don't have a hull weight. That was the big variable in the calculations. We were guessing between 4 and 4500lbs.
